Offering Pattern Digitizing Services...

 So, I have already offered this in my Discord and have mentioned it in a few videos...  But, I want to make sure people know that I am more than happy to help digitize patterns for other people.  Have you designed something that you really like the fit of or look of, but you need help making it into a PDF either for yourself, for gifting, or do you want to try selling your creation yourself for some fairly passive income? I am truly happy to help you do that.  I can also help with any branding or logos as well.  Don't be afraid to reach out.

OR, do you have an idea for a pattern or graphic, but don't quite know how to go about making it a reality?  Join my Discord and lets brain-storm and trouble-shoot.

How about some knitting?!

This week we're going to do some knitting videos!

We'll start with my own super-stretch and simple cast-on. Then you'll get to see how weird I hold my hands when I knit...


So, I will preface these videos by stating that I am a self-taught knitter in the days before YouTube or even the internet. So, I kind of made up my own methods for doing things. Some might be things that other people were taught as having specific names, but I just don’t know them. I also hold my needles in an unusual way. I have since learned there are 2 “common” ways to hold them. My way is neither of those, so I have no idea if it has a name either.

But the diagrams that are in it for casting-on were too hard for 9 year old Arfy to figure out... or maybe I just didn't like doing it that way. Who remembers anymore?! So, I just did it my own way, and I seem to have stuck with it. LOL

Tomorrow's live-stream

I think I'll plan to do some digital pattern-making during my live-stream tomorrow!

I'll set up a new scene in OBS to screen share that, but make it easy so I can still switch to the sewing desk view if people want to see any sewing or any fabrics etc.

I could also do any digital art or whatever on the computer, if people request that as well.

I look forward to seeing some of you then!

Internet issues prevented today's live stream

I'm sorry that I couldn't do my usual Wednesday live stream today folks!

Our area was having some internet issues this afternoon. However, let me know what you'd like to see for next week!

Future pattern idea

I made my daughter some period panties recently for easy overnights. I won't be able to make patterns for this in every size, but I could probably do a small and medium pretty easily. Maybe sizes 5, 6, and 7 in the way underwear in the US is sized at least.

The same pattern minus the pad elements could easily just be used for regular underwear as well. I made it entirely without the serger too, so that should be easy for most people. :)

And here are a couple pics of my first prototype after washing. I did change a couple little things to make the final pattern better.
